Archive for Entourage
Following a season in which most episodes were based around noting more than the main characters sitting in a room and talking, we’d be happy with any interesting storyline on season 7 of Entourage.
Set to premiere on HBO this spring, the show will reportedly offer up at least the following two premises:
- Vince will start filming a new big-budget movie. He’ll require a stunt coordinator to work with him on the action sequences and pyrotechnics.
- Turtle will be in charge of a new business venture, which will require the hiring of a trio of sexy women, all of whom want to be cast in Vince’s new film.

We’d have to imagine Eric and Sloane’s engagement will also play a central role on the season.
Mark Wahlberg has stated in an interview that he believes that Entourage, the HBO show in which he serves as executive producer, has two more years left in its television life before making the jump to the theatrical screen. The show has just been renewed for a sixth season.

It’s not a bad idea, although the concept of a Hollywood insider movie has been done in Hollywood movies before, most notably with Robert Altman’s The Player. However, it’s been 17 years since that movie was released, so its ripe for recycling (It’s surprising it hasn’t been redone yet).
HBO has seen tremendous success with one of its franchises moving to the big screen, Sex and the City (which has a sequel on the way). On the other hand, The Sopranos hasn’t made it to the big screen yet for some reason. Perhaps David Chase didn’t want to ruin a perfect ending to the series.

Sexist, Racist Comments on ‘Entourage’ Set?
Posted by: admin | Comments (0)
viewers are used to seeing Lloyd (Rex Lee) take a beating from Ari (Jeremy Piven), and they even take pleasure in the remarks, mostly involving Zac Efron’s balls, Michelle Kwan in drag, or something along that line. TMZ is reporting that, unfortunately, the verbal tirades seem to also happen off-screen.
Lee, 40, admits that there are “occasionally” jokes thrown around set in reference to his sexuality and ethnicity on Entourage. “I try not to let it bother me,” he said, adding that the remarks come mostly from members of the crew. Asked why he doesn’t have these people fired, he just said, “that’s not the way I work.”
Entourage creator Doug Ellin for his part said he was “shock and horrified” of the news, and that he intends to do something about the matter. “[I] will be speaking to everybody before we start filming again in March. It’s not something condoned or acceptable.”
Entourage is set to return in the summer of 2010 for its seventh season, by which time Lloyd is already an agent, meaning, he will no longer be Ari’s assistant.
